This is the recipe for the famous chocolate brownie! Easy and quick to make, it's easy to use and will please everyone: children and adults alike! Chocolate and pecans bring melting and crunchy to this tasty dessert.

A birthday to celebrate or the desire for a gourmet snack? To satisfy young and old alike, try making a brownie with Chef Zahira. The combination of dark chocolate and crushed and caramelized pecans make this recipe an irresistible dessert, both soft and crunchy at times. Here is an American specialty that will soon become yours.

🚩Ingredients :

  ✔️ 100 g of 70% cocoa chocolate
  ✔️ 100 g soft butter
  ✔️ 100 g of sugar
  ✔️ 2 eggs of 60 g (weight with shell)
  ✔️ 50 g flour 
  ✔️ 60 g pecan nuts
  ✔️ 45 g of sugar 
  ✔️ pinch of salt

🚩Instructions :

 1. Preheat the furnace to 150 °C (th. 5) in rotary heat. Crush the pecans
      with a slicing knife.

 2. Pour 15 g of water into a saucepan. Add the sugar. Bring to the boil.

 3. Remove the pan from the heat and add the nuts. Mix with a Maryse.

 4. Cover a baking sheet with baking paper. Add the nuts. Spread them with 
     the Maryse.

 5. Put in the oven and cook for 10 minutes, stirring every 2-3 minutes. Remove
      the nuts from the oven and let them cool.

 6. Preheat the furnace to 175 °C (th. 6). Melt the chocolate 1 min 30 
       in the microwave (600 W). Put the butter in a salad bowl.

 7. Add the sugar. Mix vigorously with a whisk.

 8. Add the eggs. Whisk until the fat separates slightly from the eggs. 
     Add the flour, mix vigorously with a whisk.

 9. Add the melted chocolate. Mix vigorously with a whisk. 

 10. Stir in the caramelized pecans. Mix gently with the Maryse so as
      not to break them.

 11. Cover a baking sheet with baking paper and place the frame on it.

 12. Pour in the dough, place in the oven, and bake for 20 minutes.

 13. Check the baking with the blade of a knife: it should be covered with a
       the light film, the inside of the cake should remain slightly creamy.

 14. Place on a wire rack, remove the frame and allow it to cool.
       Cut the brownie into pieces and enjoy.

🚩 Tips :

✔️You can serve this dessert with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for even more indulgence!
✔️For mini-brownies, pour the dough into a 15-cell silicone baking tray. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes. Let stand for 5 min, then remove from the mold. 
✔️For the fluted ones, put the dough in 4 fluted molds of 8 cl. Bake for 15 min. Leave to rest for 5 min, then remove from the mold. Sprinkle with a chocolate sauce.
✔️If you don't have pecans (fruits of the pecan tree), use walnuts (which are not American at all!). Be careful to keep them fresh, because fruits rich in fat go rancid quickly.
✔️If you do not have a stainless steel frame, bake the dough in a square pan of the same size and remove the baking paper underneath.
