Bread Pudding ???  But what is it?  Well, it's the Anglo-Saxon version of our French toast and a softer cousin of our diplomat. If you've been following me for a while you know that I've posted a lot of bread pudding recipes on the blog, but I think I've found The recipe. Moist, crispy, and greedy

🚩Ingredients :

  ✔️500 Gr a little stale bread ( bread baker for me)
  ✔️ 5 eggs
  ✔️1 / 2 liter of semi-skimmed milk
  ✔️15 Cl of heavy cream
  ✔️7 Tbsp sugar
  ✔️Some drops of vanilla extract
  ✔️1 Tablespoon dark rum
  ✔️1 CUP of chunk chocolate

🚩Instructions :

1- Cut the bread into a large cube
2- Put in a bowl
3-In a second bowl, whisk together the eggs
4- Add in the sugar and beat well
5-Pour the milk and cream and beat well
6-Let the bread absorb the mixture for 15 minutes
7-Preheat oven to 180 ° C
8-Butter a pan, sprinkle the sugar 
9-Add the chocolate bread mixture
10-Pour the mixture into the pan and slide the oven for about 20 minutes
11-Wait a bit before cracking …
12-Warning this is addictive

Bread pudding with raisins orange marmalade 

🚩Ingredients :

  ✔️200g Stale bread
  ✔️ 35cl Milk
  ✔️ 20cl Liquid cream
  ✔️50g Butter
  ✔️4Eggs
  ✔️100g Brown sugar
  ✔️50g Raisins
  ✔️Pecan nuts
  ✔️25g bitter orange peel
  ✔️1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  ✔️1cup Vanilla
  ✔️1 jar of bitter orange marmalade


🚩Instructions :
1-Bring the milk, cream, vanilla split in half, and butter to a boil. Leave to infuse for 15 minutes.
2-Preheat the oven to th. 6 (180 °C). Cut the bread into pieces.
3-In a bowl, whisk the sugar with the eggs until the mixture turns white.
4-Add the milk mixture. Remove the vanilla pod. Pour in the rum.
5-In a cake tin spread a layer of bread. Sprinkle with raisins and bitter orange peel. Cover with a second layer of bread slices.
6-Moisten with the milk mixture. Crush lightly with a fork. 
7-Add the remaining raisins and bitter oranges. 
8-Bake in a bain-marie for 1 hour. 
9-Let cool slightly before covering with orange marmalade.
10-Set aside for 12 hours before serving.


🚩Tips and advice for bread pudding

TipYou can add dried fruits: apricots, raisins, prunes, figs... Or 2-star anise to infuse in a little milk.
